Several UK phone line providers lower prices

A bit of a price war has developed between phone line providers Primus and Yourcalls.net. Moments after Yourcalls.net scored a presumed great coup by lowering their landline rental price to 9.25 pounds per month, that being exactly two pounds less than the BT rate, Primus took their price down another 10p so that they could claim the “lowest line rental charge in Britain.”

Interestingly neither Primus nor Yourcalls.net directly owns a single foot of adsl cable. In fact both of these companies buy their access time on the cable network from the largest of the UK landline providers, BT.

It remains a puzzle that the best way to get a deal for cheap phone calls is to go through a company that must contract for space on the cable. Honestly, the entire home phone service situation can be extremely confusing and for this reason we recommend that people simply visit free consumer advice for telecommunications website HomePhoneChoices.co.uk. There you will find articles and information on the latest offers for home phone service including deals for bundled services such as home phone and broadband.

You can always get a better deal for your phone service when it is combined with other products like internet and television programming.
