Apple's China iPhone deal is a good start

Beijing – Apple Inc’s much more to sell the iPhone in China, is seen as just the beginning of his dealmaking in the wireless market in the world’s largest mobile phone market.

The three-year iPhone deals contract  with China Unicom, the country’s second largest carrier with more than 14O million customers, is not exclusive, in sharp contrast to its U.S. agreement with AT & T Inc.

Exclusivity would be difficult to have violated Apple’s chances of growing beyond Unicom customer base.

It looks like Apple is free to pursue Cheap iPhone deals with China Mobile, which has 500 million subscribers, and China Telecom, with another 42 million subscribers.

These numbers are staggering, even for a company the size of Apple. In China, 700 million mobile subscribers is more than that of the United States and Europe together.

Susquehanna Financial Group, whose parent company is a market in Apple shares, estimates Apple could be about 3 percent of the market in China, which would equate to more sold 2 million iPhones next year.

What’s more, “said Susquehanna analyst per 1 million iPhones will be sold separately equal to 18 cents to 20 cents earnings per share. Apple is expected to be up to $ 5.85 a share for its fiscal year 2009, women earn, according to Reuters Estimates.

Other analysts are still bullish on Apple in China.
