Today at a press conference in New York City emphasizing the holiday season 2009 mobile phone portfolio, Verizon was the as yet unannounced Casio G’zOne Brigade, the company’s first rugged push-to-talk phone with a full QWERTY keyboard.

Casio is hard since handsets for Verizon G’zOne under the brand name for a number of years, but this is the first G’zOne handset to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard on the sports brigade 4 full rows of keys, which contains a combination of keys for messaging and a special set of number keys. Like other G’zOne phones, the brigade met the MIL-STD-810F standards for water, shock, dust, and a variety of other tortures that a smaller phone would turn off.

But the brigade is more than just a beating. It is also equipped with a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash that can record videos and still photos. The phone has a document viewer and has a text-to-speech function, the text can not read the image and e-mails according to the user’s phone. A large speakers with speakerphone function is also on board.

Standard Verizon services are offered on the brigade, including VZ Navigator, V CAST Video and V CAST Music with Rhapsody. And purchased alike can create media files on memory cards that can be built into the phone’s microSD memory card slot will be saved.
