Vodafone unveils RIM BlackBerry Storm2 9520 smartphone

Have Vodafone and Research In Motion BlackBerry Storm2 9520, a touchscreen smartphone device that builds on the success of the first iteration of Storm 9500 presented. The new Storm2 is a thin and slim device with quad-band GSM support and high-speed 3G and WiFi data connectivity. The phone has a 1400mAh battery for extended use.

RIM functions Storm2 SurePress technology which provides tactile response when pressure on the phone offering 3.25-inch 360 x 480 resolution capacitive touch screen display improved. The technology responds immediately placed on the screen printing. Typing speed reaction has also been enhanced. An updated version of BlackBerry OS 5 includes BlackBerry App world, so that users download new applications for the Smartphone device.

Users can snap photos and shoot videos with a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus. After synchronization of their music from iTunes onto the device with BlackBerry Media Sync users their music with a pair of headphones to enjoy that a 3.5-mm stereo headset jack or Bluetooth for use with stereo headphones. Although the Storm2 takes 2 GB of internal storage media, users can save the phone’s microSD card slot, as well. GPS is also integrated functions for navigation.

Storm2 The BlackBerry 9520 is available from Vodafone on 26 October. It is in Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy, South Africa will follow in November or December. An announcement in the U.S. Verizon is expected soon.
