Samsung Omnia II i8180 headed to China Mobile

It looks like Samsung is planning a new version of the Omnia i8000 II, for China Mobile’s customized release.

The phone, called Samsung i8180 and Samsung i8180c Chai, seems to most of the features you find in the i8000, including Windows Mobile and a 3.7-inch AMOLED touch-screen display has.

However, China has the i8180-specific features as well as WAPI, TD-SCDMA connectivity and CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting).

At the moment the release date of Samsung i8180 is not known, but the smartphone is likely to hit the Chinese market in the coming months.
