Nokia unveils official port of Qt to Maemo 5
Developers who have Nokia Maemo with some good news today with the announcement by Nokia that it has created using an official Qt port for Maemo 5, the developers of Qt to the next possible target N900. The Qt port applications can be easily ported to all platforms supported by Qt.
The applications can Maemo, Symbian and Windows Mobile ported. Nokia announces that the Qt port for Maemo 5 specifically for the Maemo 5 environment, which is the N900, and that the switch port on the upcoming Qt 4.6 release set to the 1st Quarter of 2010 approximately basis developed.
The port is also created the community-driven Qt for Maemo project because of community contributions and improvements. The change in a port of the Community on an official port was required to run applications developed with Qt to with future versions of Qt would be compatible.
