Nokia launches Ovi SDK Beta, new Ovi APIs

Last week at the Nokia World 2009, the Finnish giant companies Ovi SDK (software development kit) beta, Ovi and the new APIs (application programming interfaces) which will be unveiled in the SDK.

The Ovi SDK allows software developers to create and deploy applications on a wide range of devices (with Symbian or Maemo), or the Internet. The SDK is based on standard technologies like HTML, Javascript and CSS-based.

The new APIs are the Ovi Ovi Navigation Player API which provides developers with al they need to add navigation capabilities applications.

If you download the beta SDK Ovi, you should know that it is currently available by invitation only – you can log in Forum Nokia to get it.
