Nokia Money financial service coming in 2010

Remember that investments that made the Nokia in Obopay in March? The results begin to show themselves, as Nokia has just announced a new financial service for mobile phones.

Called Nokia money, the service uses Obopay’s mobile payment platform for the provision of access to basic financial services.

Specifically, customers will be able to send money to someone just the person cell phone number, pay for goods and services, pay bills, top up prepaid SIM cards.

The service will be accessible 24 hours a day, as long as your phone is on and you have signal.

Nokia money will be available from early 2010 in selected markets. Until then, Nokia will be presenting the service next week, during the Nokia World 2009 in Stuttgart.
