Google release Android 2.0 Donut
Has the HTC Hero’s moment in the limelight was short-lived? Google has a beginning of the development build for Android OS 2.0 donut, the follow-up to OS 1 5 Cupcake debuted, in addition to the HTC Magic, and with it the promise of multi-touch support, and similar CMDA home screen control widgets in HTC Sense.
Among the main changes in OS 2.0 Donut significantly improved speed and performance, automated backup and gesture support. But there are also universal search across all applications, together with WPA-Enterprise encryption and VPN support.
Even if we are far from an official release for commercial devices, this is no longer the front-line community of developers of games with a donut and getting it to build on existing phones. A project has already been published, with a construction of the new version for the original G1, but this is very unstable and beginning with core functions such as the support is lacking. More general interest to users is the news that developers are working on some of the donut’s more interesting aspects of new builds of Android OS 1 5 Cupcake by elements such as mutlitouch and universal search to current smartphone into a stable form.
