Apple’s Next iPhone Will Rule at Gaming

The next upgrade to Apple’s iPhone will be a strong focus on games, analysts and developers agree.

This is because the gaming market is a growing segment of the juicy the mobile multimedia space – and this is one of the phenomenally successful Apple iPhone is well positioned to dominate.

Apple's Next iPhone Will Rule at Gaming“The iPhone and iPod touch have become an important new handheld gaming — Platform, and if you look at the App Store and see what does Well, that’s what, “said Bart Decr CEO of Tapulous, developer Tap the popular Tap Revenge iPhone game. “I look forward to improvements in the device as a gaming platform for both the phone and iPod Touch.” Apple revealed its plans to use the gaming market in November 2008 at Apple marketing executive Greg Joswiak called iPhone and iPod Touch “the future of the game”, a serious Threat to their games consoles like the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. The reasons? A few things: The fast, electronic distribution Method of games and applications on the iPhone’s App Store, the accelerometer and multi-touch display, the introduction of new approaches to gameplay; and the iPhone is lighter, portable form factor — compared to its competitors.

Figures say that the iPhone is indeed in a position to attack the gaming Market. Apple is on Analysts predict Track to sell 40 million iPhones per year or more. By the way Comparison, sold 42 million Nintendo DS consoles from January 2007 to June 2008.

Moreover, the fact that the iPhone App Store has already has the DS and PSP beat in terms of games available: If the app Store was only three months old, he had 1500 games, the PSP and DS had About 600 and 300 titles, respectively.

There are only a few weaknesses of the iPhone must be before it really recognized as a serious gaming device, said Steve Demeter, Developer of Trism iPhone Game: processing limitations, Graphics and memory-management capabilities. For example, the PSP Advantage, since a separate gaming device is that its application Programming Interface (API) is based on complex textures loaded – a task that falls short of the iPhone. If Apple is serious about the iPhone gaming platform, it is a good bet that the next update to the iPhone is such restrictions.

Tero Kuittinen, a Global Crown Capital analyst, agrees that the next iPhone will be improved and more powerful graphics processing capabilities. And these improvements will probably be in a new ARM chip, Apple is developing in-house. In April 2008, Apple acquired semiconductor company PA Semi ARM to produce chips for future iPhones.

Other than the introduction of graphical improvements, it is unlikely the iPhone are dramatic changes. Kuittinen pointed out that Apple has to keep consistently its interfaces to ensure software is backward compatible – so forget about a slide-out keyboard or a screen, either much smaller or much larger than the current iPhone. Developer Decr Demeter and agreed that Apple will probably conservative with the changes so as not to require software programmers to rewrite applications, with the next iPhone.

A minor change Apple will likely enter the third generation iPhone is an improved Web camera with video recording capability and a blink. Kuittinen said the camera is mounted on the sport for at least one 3.5-megapixel resolution in order to compete with Research In Motion, Samsung, HTC and LG, which already sells phones with superior Cameras on the iPhone.

When can we expect that the next iPhone? In view of the first iPhone June 2007 launched the iPhone and the second sent in July 2008, the third generation iPhone country should no later than the summer of 2009.
